If you go with the daiz quote Gotenks doesn't have to be stronger than Goku. Daiz quote? I'm not sure which one you mean. In any case, Manga Statements >> Daiz Statements. Goten and Trunks saw Buu's power and thought they would have a better chance than Majin Vegeta did. Gotenks is over cofidnet and his placement pre rosat doesn't really mater only that his SSJ from> SSJ3 Goku. Using seg I get something like this. Gotenks: 90 SSJ2 Goku/Majin Vegeta: 100 SSJ3 Goku: 400 MSSJ Gotenks: 4500 Using the SEG multiplers you kinda have to have Gotenks weaker than the SSJ2 or you have Super Gotenks a lot stronger than SSJ3 Goku.

And like what Vertical said, using SEG multipliers isn't as mandatory as most pro-Guidebook people make it out to be.
